In the 1990’s, Kenjo (Ishikawa Yuichi) dies in a terrorist gas attack and his girlfriend, Haruka (Sasaki Yumeka), is killed while doing her rounds as a Prostitute. In 2002, the two of them meet up again... but how can this be possible when they are both dead? Writer/director Zeze Takahisa infuses his bizarre piece of erotica with unexpected statements about sex, politics, and religion.
Tokyo X Erotica explores themes such as sex, politics and the existence of God, terrorism, rebirth, the essence of the human soul, loneliness and how to live your life in a world where water pistols kill and everyone can bend spoons. Tokyo X Erotica is, above all, about sex and death but when given a cyber punk look tinged with neon it raises it way above.
