We are very excited to be able to announce that we have signed five films by the renowned and at time extraordinary writer and director, Alain Robbe-Grillet.
Robbe-Grillet who wrote and directed a number of controversial and provocative films in his own confrontational style purposefully avoided structured narrative in order to “show imagination at work”. His films dealt with violence, murder, destruction, sex, love, bondage and so on, in ways that would often force the viewer to find out the films meaning by chance or unexpectedly as the story evolved.
Redemption has signed five superb examples of Robbe-Grillet’s work: Trans-Europe-Express (1967). The Man Who Lies (1968), Eden and After (1970) and Slow Slidings of Pleasure! (1974). Also included as an extra with Eden and After will be the alternate version, N Take the Dice (1971).
The latest issue of the very excellent US based horror and genre magazine, Diabolique, is featuring an indepth interview with Nigel WIngrove, ostensibly about the controversial short film Visions of Ecstasy, but also looking at the Redemption Films label overall, his visual work for publications like The Redeemer, and SkinTwo, as well as the imagery he created for bands like Cradle of Filth.
Issue 16 also features the late, Peter Cushing on the cover and devotes most of the issue to the great man, on what would have been his hundredth birthday.
Three of our top Satanic Sluts, including the girls’ new Kommander, Sophia Disgrace, have been in action filming scenes for Thomas Eikrem’s film ‘Detroit Rising’ starring Jim van Bebber, star and director of Deadbeat at Dawn. Centred on an Iraqi veteran suffering a breakdown in the crumbing environment of Detroit, the scenes featuring members of the Satanic Sluts are part of an explosive and psyched-out dream sequence when Bebber’s character finally begins freaking out on a major scale. More news on the Satanic Sluts and what looks like being one of the BIG film events of 2014 real soon...

Coming to Blu-ray and DVD from Redemption this summer are two classic Franco films; A Virgin Among the Living Dead (1971) with Alice Arno, and the fabulous and much overlooked, Nightmares Come at Night (1970) starring Franco’s beautiful and tragic first muse, Soledad Miranda. Both films have been remastered into HD from the original materials and have never looked better. More details on the release dates, extras and content coming very soon.
Shake your hips to the sounds of French hipsters, ACANTHUS, whose groovy rhythms wow on the fab soundtrack to Jean Rollin’s classic Shiver of the Vampires. We now have 10 copies of the almost sold out vinyl LP, and when they’re gone, they’re gone!
Also in stock, though we suspect not for long, are the über rare and separate 10” vinyl releases of Requiem for a Vampire with a score by Pierre Raph, and Fascination with a score by Philippe D’Aram. We also have a CD release which comprises both soundtracks.
The wonderful Eileen Daly, Redemption’s white-eyed logo face, scream queen and star of films like Cradle of Fear and TV’s Peek-a-Boo show now also fronts her own band, The Courtesans. Singing and performing in a mixture of styles Eileen’s lyrics has most often been compared to English icon Ray Davies of The Kinks. Now you can make up your own mind by taking a look at the video for Eileen’s first single, ‘Webcam-Gir’, which is available as a 7” limited edition on pink vinyl of just 666 copies.
Briefly banned in Italy on the grounds of blasphemy, the Sinful nuns of Saint Valentine is a true nunsploitation classic, featuring as it does nun possession, nudity, nun whippings, nudity, nymphomaniacs, lustful Mother Superiors, nudity, nun madness, and of course, nudity. Centred on a young man accused of heresy who takes refuge in a convent where his lover has coincidentally been banished to by her parents, the recipe is set for carnal mayhem. Add to this the Inquisition, a bout of hysteria, and lesbianism and you have all the ingredients of a sleaze epic!
Released on the 21st May 2013
Filmed in England in 1969, Cold Eyes of Fear offers ‘swinging’ London as a backdrop to the action, resplendent as it is with girls in miniskirts, trendy young men and motorcycle gangs fighting for control of London’s streets. Now newly remastered from the original negative into High Definition, and offering for the first time the opportunity to view in its original Italian, or with the English dubbed track, this is the time to see Cold Eyes if you haven’t already, or to revisit it if you have, for the new master looks stunning. Released on Blu-ray in May 2013. Enjoy!
Detroit Rising, currently in production and being directed by the multi-talented Thomas Eikrem, editor and publisher of Film Rage magazine, is a bleak and savage journey into the psyche of an Iraqi vet, played by Jim Van Bebber, the director of the extraordinary Dead Beat at Dawn and The Manson Family. In a series of nightmare visions depicting the horrors of Iraq and the darker side of the American Dream, between 10 and 15 members of the Satanic Sluts will unleash hell.
Jean Rollin’s posthumous celebrity continues rising unabated as the March 2013 issue of Bizarre magazine devotes no less than five pages to the great man. Full of great pictures, including some rather naughty ones from Phantasmes Pornographique, Bizarre have put together a really good overview of Rollin and his work. Jean Rollin fans should also make sure that they buy these great new titles we’re releasing over February, March and April: Zombie Lake, Schoolgirl Hitchhikers, Grapes of Death and Night of the Hunted.
Jess Franco fans and admirers should prepare themselves for a visual orgy of Franco cinema this year as Redemption prepares to release no less than 14 further Franco titles on Blu-ray. Titles currently in preparation or being readied for imminent release include; A Virgin Among the Living Dead, The Demons, The Awful Dr. Orloff, The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein, Nightmares Come at Night and the never before released Les Chatouilleuses aka Crazy Nuns, Franco’s comedic western in which four girls on the run on the run take refuge in a convent disguised as nuns with the usual sapphic results (stars Lina Romay) and which will probably be released on the Jezebel label. To wet your appetites here’s a picture of those crazy nuns in action!
Night of the Hunted, Jean Rollin’s violently sexual take on the science fiction film is finally getting its well deserved release on Blu-ray. Starring the ravishing and striking actress Brigitte Lahaie as an almost naked and very disorientated woman found wondering by a country road whose life is being turned into a living nightmare. Released on Blu-ray for the first time on April 23rd.
They eat horses don’t they? The French not only eat horses but they like some tasty wine to accompany their food, wine made with local grapes. The only problem with the grapes in Jean Rollin’s gruesome and majestic film, Grapes of Death, is that chemicals have infected the grapes and the local villagers have been turned into vicious psychopaths, killing and abusing anyone they encounter!
Grapes of Death represents a rare departure from vampirism for director Jean Rollin into what is essentially zombie territory and he does so in his own inimitable way. Mixing some extremely graphic violence, sex and nudity, with stylish colours and imagery, all captured beautifully in our newly remastered HD Blu-ray release. Rollin’s film is shown for the undiscovered gem it is.
Jean Rollin’s politically incorrect apocalypse, Schoolgirl Hitchhikers aka Jeunes filles impudiques (Naughty Young Girls), is about to be unleashed on Blu-ray in all its fleshy glory! Starring the voluptuous and totally shameless Joëlle Coeur and her blonde sidekick, Gilda Arancio, as a pair of coquettish teenage delinquents who break into a country house only to find that some crooks have beaten them to it and taken up residence already. Featuring an odd mixture of ‘carry-on’ style drama mixed with some seriously sadistic and nasty sex sequences, Schoolgirl Hitchhikers is a sexploitation film that only Rollin could have made. Whilst Coeur's raw sexuality and seemingly natural lustiness show why Rollin would have chosen her for the lead female role in his savagely sexual film Demoniacs which he made the following year.
Three new Satanic Slut films are in preparation, two to be directed by long time satanic bad boy Simon Morgenstern, and the other by Redemption and Satanic Slut founder, Nigel Wingrove. Much more on these celluloid epics soon. In the meantime to get you in the mood we’re reissuing our first three Satanic Slut releases in a special, and very limited, DVD pack. Titles included are:
The Satanic Sluts - The Black Order Cometh
The Satanic Sluts II - The Black Masses
The Satanic Sluts III - Scandalized

We’re very pleased to be stocking some great new titles on Blu-Ray and DVD including a fabulously remastered Jezebel release of The Sex Thief, and although not on Redemption, a very worthy release of the horror classic, White Zombie, which hardened Redemptionites will remember from our UK video release way back in the halcyon days of the early 1990’s.
Also added to our shop is a massive Blu-ray collection of the films of cinema’s legendary Buster Keaton*, who, whilst nothing to do with horror, created some classics of cinema and as such we felt it was well worth stocking this fabulous release. Also now available from us is another cinema classic, Sergei Eisenstein’s iconic film, Battleship Potemkin, which includes the famous massacre on the Odessa Steps and the tumbling pram sequence, something all film fans should see at least once.
* Film buffs though will credit the link between Buster Keaton and his Granddaughter, Camille Keaton, who starred as the brutalised writer in the original I Spit on Your Grave.
All titles available in our shop now.
Those of you who passed on buying our fabulous Pete Walker boxset because you only wanted specific titles will soon be able to buy them individually. Zombie Lake, Jean Rollin’s often derided and dismissed take on the zombie myth, is being released on Redemption Blu-Ray having been remastered in HD from the original negative and the result is stunning. Many of the film’s visual strengths now stand out and make this release without doubt the best version of Zombie Lake, ever.
Released February 26th
Pete Walker’s highly effective and disturbing horror title in which a singer, played by Jack Jones, whose wife has recently died begins suffering from hallucinations and fears he is losing his mind. His grasp on reality gets even loser when his friends begin to get brutally murdered. The Comeback also stars Pamela Stephenson of TV’s ‘Not the Nine O’Clock News’ fame, David Doyle from 'Charlie’s Angels' and Holly Palance (The Omen)

Our head Satanic Slut and TV presenter, Sophia Disgrace, who has been working and filming with us on a documentary about female protest, so impressed FEMEN members when she was in Paris with them a few weeks ago that she was asked to head up FEMEN UK. Sophia accepted and word of her role was announced in the UK media by Grazia magazine today, the 5th December.
In the meantime Sophia is flying out to the Ukraine to interview and film Anna Hutsol, the founder of FEMEN for Salvation TV, our new online TV channel which launches and starts broadcasting early 2013 via Digidev.com.
We can now announce our scheduled line-up for the beginning of 2013 and there are some titles heading for Blu-ray including Jean Rollin’s truly ground-breaking Night of the Hunted and the exceptionally gory, Grapes of Death. Franco fans can also see some zombie action in two of the directors lesser seen titles, Zombie Lake and Oasis of the Zombies. Jezebel also sees the release of the sexy sci-fi caper Zeta One, which features some of the seventies sexiest actresses including Yutte Stensgaard, (Lust for a Vampire, Burke and Hare), and the über curvy Valerie Leon, (Blood From the Mummies Tomb, The Spy Who Loved Me). Also rearing their mischievous heads again are the Satanic Sluts who you will be seeing and hearing a lot more about in 2013.
We’ve just added three great new Pink Eiga films to our ‘Watch Now’ section including our film of the week, Sexy S.W.A.T. Team, in which a group of young women fed up with being molested on the tube decide to fight back against Tokyo's grim gropers. Also included in this saucy cinematic trio is a tale of pervert possession in which a woman’s husband loses control in his insatiable desire for her body, and and the tale of a widow longing for sex. Keep checking back as more films are being added to our watch now section all the time,
One of our favourite and best selling Jezebel titles, The Sex Thief, is coming to Blu-ray! Directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Golden Eye, Green Lantern) and featuring British TV’s Diane Keen, and Benny Hill favourite Jennifer Westbrook, as two scantily clad beauties who find themselves offering up more than their jewels to the debonair charms of cat-burglar, David Warbeck (Twins of Evil, The Beyond). The Sex Thief also bizarrely features Michael Armstrong, the director of the witchfinder-nasty, Mark of the Devil, as a bumbling police sergeant...
Controversial! Shocking? Tame? Blasphemous? Erotic? Boring? Now you can decide, as the only film in British history to be banned solely on the grounds of blasphemy is released in the USA after 23 years in the censorship slammer! This version, unlike the UK release, has been remastered from the original negatives into HD and looks absolutely stunning. The negative had actually been thought lost and was found in between the UK’s April release and this release. Also ‘discovered’ was the missing edit of Faustine, an adaption of Algernon Swinburne’s poem of the saturnine femme fatale, Faustine, with Eileen Daly and an original score by composer Steven Severin.
Mario Bava’s highly stylishly and gothic film Baron Blood has finally been remastered into HD and has never looked better. Featuring a resurrected sadistic Baron, a torture chamber, a curvy Elke Sommer who has never looked curvier, and the young Nicoletta Elmi who had previously appeared in Bava’s classic Bay of Blood as a murderous child. This is a must have for Bava and horror fans alike and is available on both Blu-ray and DVD from this site.
Here are a few personal pictures of our new Satanic Slut Kommander, Sophie Disgrace, hanging out with FEMEN in their Paris training centre during the weekend of the 10/11 November. Sophie was filming and training with FEMEN for a feature we are preparing for our new TV channels Salvation TV and Nihilista TV
Urban Terror, a new book by British genre critic Mike Simpson, is published by Hemlock Books and released on the 1st December. Covering British horror films from 1997 to 2008 we are giving it a plug because it includes five pages on Sacred Flesh and numerous references to Eileen Daly, our white-eyed Redemption icon. The book actually offers much needed coverage and analysis of what has been a huge resurgence in British horror over the last decade and is well worth adding to your Christmas wants list.
Filming for our new TV project continues apace and gets more exciting every week. This time we sent SS supremo and presenter Sophie Disgrace plus crew over to meet and train with members of the amazingly provocative new wave feminist group FEMEN.
FEMEN have caused outrage recently when one of their members chain-sawed down a huge crucifix in protest at the jailing of PUSSY RIOT. FEMEN also famously protest topless, with their bodies covered in painted slogans, and we sent Sophie out to FEMEN’s all new training camp in Paris to get down and dirty with the FEMEN crew! More on this and our up and coming TV channels soon.
Bizarre magazine, the world’s leading title devoted to all things alternative, transgressive or just plain bad, has now given six of its prized editorial pages to a feature on Salvation Films. Filled with pictures this is a must-have for all followers of Redemption and includes a major interview with Redemption founder Nigel Wingrove, oodles of flesh, blood and rather surprisingly, a large number of bare-breasted Nazi nuns..; We can’t imagine why? BIZARRE MAGAZINE, ISSUE 195 - DECEMBER 2012
Our Watch Now section has just added seven more filmic examples of Asian pink perversity to our cinematic selection. Of the highest quality and lowest morals, you can watch and marvel as the origin of Japan’s ‘SM Hunter’ is revealed and long for the day when the UK’s long-suffering NHS wards are replaced by Whore Hospital wings! Watch Now, and weep.
Four films by director Pete Walker, one of the UK’s finest exponents of exploitation cinema, have been remastered from the original negatives and are about to be released together as part of one exclusive boxset crammed to overflowing with extras and exclusive goodies. The four films are House of Whipcord, Schizo, Die Screaming Marianne and The Comeback and the extras include all new filmed interviews with Pete Walker, audio commentaries and remastered trailers, making this a must for fans as well as for those not yet familiar with Walker’s unique mix of cinematic camp and cruelty.
Released on Redemption - November 20.
Two more Mario Bava films are to be released on Blu-ray, the fabulously gothic Baron Blood with the miniskirted and forever sexy Elke Sommer, and Bava’s lesser known and throughly brutal crime drama, Kidnapped (aka Rabid Dogs) with George Eastman. Kidnapped is considered by many to be Bava’s Last House on the Left given its levels of violence and is well worth checking out.
Sleeve notes as always by Tim Lucas of Video Watchdog magazine. Released December 11th.
Sophia Disgrace, new Kommander of the Satanic Sluts, has been banned after appearing topless at India's first ever tattoo convention. Details from Sophia are still a little sketchy, but essentially the police were called during her performance and she was escorted from the premises. The story is now spreading in the media and Sophia has been moved from her hotel due to the level of press interest.
Sophia is a top London burlesque performer and, aside from her performances, has been working on several films as well as a documentary on female protest from the Suffragettes to Pussy Riot, which is due to be broadcast on Salvation TV, an online channel to be braodcast by the US based Digital Development Group.
Following the success of the Jean Rollin screenings in Triskel Art Centre, Cork last month, it's now England's turn to be exposed to some surreal blood-letting and nocturnal naughtiness as Rollin's classic, Les Frisson des Vampires aka The Shiver of the Vampires, finally gets to be viewed on the big screen.
Featuring gorgeous lesbian vampires, vampire hippies, a macabre castle and a tardis-like grandfather clock, Les Frisson des Vampires, is like no other vampire film you've seen, ever.
Three more great films have just been added to our watch now film section. The titles are Anarchy in (Ja)Panty, a tale of wild, dysfunctional family told in true Pink style, Safety First: The Rise of Women, a quirky take on women who work in high rise buildings and the totally wild Pink groper film, Groper Train: The Search for the Black Pearl !
Female Vampire, the film that where Jess Franco and Lina Romay fused creatively, sexually and emotionally, is now being released by Redemption in a stunning new High Definition version on Blu-ray and DVD on October 16th. This edition will feature both the extended erotic version (100 minutes), which can be viewed in French with English subs, or in an English dubbed version, and the horror version, Erotikill, (82 mins, English only). There are also a number of extras including a Franco documentary by Elijah Drenner and David Gregory.
Finally, one of Franco's most extreme and maligned films, Exorcism, is released by Redemption in a definitive edition on Blu-ray and DVD, remastered from the original negatives in Paris, and then lovingly restored in the US. This edition includes not only the extended 97 minute erotic version, but also the standard 69 minute horror version, Demoniac, which was banned by the BBFC when Redemption originally tried to release it in the UK.
One of Mario Bava's finest and most gothic films, The Whip and the Body aka La frusta e il corpo, has just been signed to Redemption and will now be remastered from the original negative and released on Blu-ray. Starring horror legend Christopher Lee as a sadistic nobleman whose main pleasure in life is to whip his sister-in-law, played by the beautiful Daliah Lavi. When the nobleman is murdered his ghost returns and the beatings continue.
More details soon.
Two classics of British seventies horror cinema have just been added to our shop. Available on DVD and Blu-ray, both Blood Beast Terror, in which a girl is transformed into a blood drinking moth-like creature, and the grave robbing saga, Burke and Hare, have been remastered into High Definition from the original negatives and look fantastic.
Black Magic Rites aka The Reincarnation of Isabel aka Black Magic Rites and Secret Orgies of the 14th Century is one of the most extraordinary examples of film making ever made. Directed by the late, great Renato Poselli, Black Magic Rites centres on a group of virgin-blood-drinking-satanic-vampires who spend their nights raping and ripping the hearts out of the local village slappers in anticipation of the day when their beloved Isabella will be reincarnated.
Les deux orphelines vampires aka Two Orphan Vampires is, along with Dracula's Fiancee, one of Jean Rollin's most underrated films and is at last is to be released in all its glory, remastered from the original 35mm negatives. Assumed by many Rollin fans to have been shot on video and then dismissed as somehow less worthy of their appreciation, Two Orphan Vampires, has, as a consequence, languished, like the films' two blind anti-heroines, in a kind of twilight world, neither one thing or the other.
Jean Rollin's beautiful, disturbing, commercial and goriest film, La Morte Vivant aka The Living Dead Girl, is coming to Blu-ray and the restoration is as near to perfection as its possible to get and make this release an essential purchase. Correcting some of the over lit dark scenes whilst maintaining Rollin's integrity have helped to fully realise this extraordinary director's vision, which coupled with the mesmerising presence of the beautiful Françoise Blanchard and the striking Marina Pierro as her childhood friend, make this one of Rollin's strongest films.
Crammed full of extras, and with a powerful sleeve, The Living Dead Girl is released on the 28th August.
Faustine (1990) is a short film interpretation of the poem Faustine written by the great Victorian poet, Algernon Swinburne. Directed by Nigel WIngrove and made just a year after Visions of Ecstasy (1989) was banned, Faustine is finally to be released.
Mastered from the original 16mm negative in High Definition, with a brand new musical score by Steven Severin and featuring Elieen Daly, Faustine is one of a number of unique and exciting extras that will be included on the new US Blu-ray release of Visions of Ecstasy. Out through Redemption / Kino Lorber October 23rd.
Five of Jean Rollin's greatest films, including Fascination, Rape of the Vampire and The Shiver of the Vampire, are to be screened over two days, 6-7 July, at Cork City's Jean Rollin Film Festival at the Triskel, Christchurch. Music will be provided by those fine folks at Finders Keepers who will be playing a selection of Rollin soundtracks and other musical gems as well as premiering the legendary Jedward remixes. C'est super cool!
There is a tribute to the wonderful Lina Romay, actress and Jess Franco's muse, in the latest issue of the very excellent genre magazine, Diabolique, by Redemption's founder, Nigel Wingrove. In what is very much a personal take on this most extraordinary woman, Wingrove, covers much of Romay's career and the captivating power of her sexual presence and is well worth reading. Romay and Franco fans will also soon be able to see the lovely Lina in action in some of her most important films, Female Vampire and Exorcism when they are released on Redemption in stunning new Blu-ray editions later this year.
For more information on Diabolique magazine go to: www.horrorunlimited.com
Definitely one of the darkest and most disturbing Redemption releases ever, The Owner, finally gets a UK DVD release. The outcome is both shocking, brutal and totally unexpected.

The latest issue of Bizarre magazine, not only features the awesome Joanna Angel and the gorgeous girls of Burning Angel, but devotes five whole pages to the south American horror film. Redemption, as always, was there first with the disturbing Breaking Nikki, and then followed-up with the utterly sick, landlord-rape-immaculate-conception-lesbian-sex epic, The Owner. Now that we are about to unleash 36 Steps and I'll Never Die Alone, wait for a deluge of lethal latin's on DVD.
Seven great new titles have been added to our Pink Eiga section so you now have even more reason to visit! Swoon at the amazing antics of the naughty nurses in Whore Angels, be awed by the Japanese time travelling minx's in Sexy Time Trip Ninjas and have a shower after watching the hero of the utterly depraved epic Groper Train touching up dozens of female commuters! Two classics of British seventies horror cinema are about to get the Redemption Blu-ray treatment having been remastered from the original materials and with both titles now looking absolutely stunning.
Blood Beast Terror (1968), which stars the legendary Peter Cushing and the gorgeous Vanessa Howard, is a bizarre tale of a scientist who genetically creates a creature that can mutate from a blood eating Death's Head moth back to a beautiful woman with shrug flap of its wings.
Burke and Hare (1972), starring Darren Nesbitt and the lovely Françoise Pascal (The Iron Rose), is based on the infamous Scottish grave-robbers.
Both titles are released on July 17th 2002. Covers previewed here soon.
Redemption's favourite sister label, Jezebel, which specialises primarily in sexploitation and erotic cinema from the 1960's and 1970's is about to release two absolute classic films on DVD, That Kind of Girl (1963) and Permissive (1970).
That Kind of Girl centres on a sexy blond au pair called Eva (Margaret Rose Keil) who is pursued and bedded by a variety of lecherous men until, horror of horrors, she finds that she has contracted a sexual transmitted disease and decides to mend her ways. A great film and a fascinating insight into England and London in the early sixties, when things didn't so much swing, as swayed.
One of Redemption's more indy horror signings last year was the fabulously fast-paced, and gory real-life game turned film, Humans Versus Zombies, in which a group of students try and battle their way to safety in a world rapidly turning into zombiegeddon! With some great scenes, humour and a lead role by TV's bad girl, Madison Burge from hit series Friday Night Lights, HVZ, is well worth checking out. Released initially as a standalone title, Humans Versus Zombies, is available to buy on DVD from us right now!
See the trailer here: Humans Versus Zombies - Trailer

Requiem for a Vampire which, along with Lips of Blood, is one of Jean Rollin's personal favourites among his films has been remastered in High Definition and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in May. One of the most controversial films ever made and the only film ever to be banned in the UK solely on the grounds of blasphemy is in stock and ready to buy from this site, NOW! It is also, so we are told, the only short film to be released anywhere in the world as the main attraction, with a feature, Sacred Flesh, as an extra. This DVD also contains a specially written and lavishly illustrated 36 booklet, plus the erotic film, AXEL, another short directed by Nigel Wingrove - a still from which is reproduced here.
The Rape of the Vampire, shot in 1967 and premiered at the height of the turmoil that gripped France in 1968, is Jean Rollin's first feature film and his first filmic interpretation of the vampire legend. Shot in black and white in two halves, Rape of the Vampire, so shocked its film audiences in Paris that Rollin was chased out of the cinema and pursued by a hostile mob of enraged cinephiles and thus established himself as a true outsider. From there on Rollin continued to pursue and create his filmic, vampire fantasies regardless of the baying mobs and critics that dogged his work. Now, finally, Rape of the Vampire is released by Redemption as it should be, in high definition and with the black and white tones perfectly reproduced. Also included with this great release are Jean Rollin's first two short films, Les Amours jaunes (The Yellow Loves, 1958, 9 minutes) and Les Pays loin (The Far Country, 1965, 16 minutes)
Jean Rollin's accomplished and dark tale of ship-wreakers who not only cause a boat to crash onto the rocks, but then rape and murder its two female survivors, has been remastered from the original negatives and is released by Redemption on Blu-ray and DVD in May. Looking stunning and with two deleted sex scenes, including a rather naughty sequence involving the very beautiful Joëlle Coeur, this is a must buy for Rollin fans everywhere.
Starring seventies heart-throb Robert Powell, fresh from hanging around crucifixes in the smash-hit film Jesus of Nazareth, as a Dr Frankenstein like scientist who invents a camera that sees the Egyptian spirit, the Asphyx. Like all deranged scientists he then tries to use the spirit for his own twisted ends and from that point everything goes horribly wrong. This great release includes both the UK and US versions.
Directed by Nigel Wingrove and marking his first foray into film making, Axel (1987), is an 8 minute short featuring a haunting score by accomplished musician and artist Danielle Dax (www.danielledax.com) and shows a beautiful, naked girl being led through her own erotic and surreal dream. This is the first release of Axel on DVD and the version shown here has been especially remastered in HD for its release alongside Wingrove's other titles, Sacred Flesh and the highly controversial short film, Visions of Ecstasy.
Directed by Adrian Garcia Bogliano (Cold Sweat), I'll Never Die Alone is a totally uncompromising and brutally violent thriller set in the outback of the remote La Plata region in South America. The film centres on four young women who clash with a group of men illegally hunting and the result is a tough and pounding story of revenge for rape, mercilessly carried out by a group of women intent on pursuing their attackers to the bitter end. Censors permitting this title will be released on the new Redemption UK label in May 2012.

Originally intended for Argentinian TV, this 2008 film was deemed too extreme for broadcast and was shelved until being rescued from obscurity by Redemption. It centres on a young and pretty lesbian actress who rents an apartment and is in turn spied on by her perverse and voyeuristic landlord.
Her landlord soon escalates from watching to doing as he repeatedly gases and rapes the unconscious tenant again and again. Eventually the actress gets pregnant but never having knowingly had sex with a man believes that a miracle has happened.
Two of Redemption classic releases have been given the High Definition treatment, with both the British sleaze epic Killer's Moon and the fabulous tale of devil-worshiping lesbians Virgin Witch, now remastered from the original negatives for the first time. Each film has been lovingly restored by Kino Lorber and are being released in stunning new Blu-ray editions. Out March 13th 2012.
