This August see The Demoniacs, Jean Rollin’s savage and ghostly rape revenge tale, released as part of Salvation’s new exploitation collection. Demoniacs centres on a group of ship-wreckers who lure unsuspecting boats onto the rocks and then steal their cargo as it washes ashore. Here, two young girls survive the sea only to be brutally raped and murdered by the thuggish wreckers as they crawl out of the surf. The violence is made worse by it be encouraged by the gang leader’s beautiful girlfriend, played with gusto by the wildly beautiful actress, Joelle Coeur, who eggs on the gang to ever greater acts of depravity while masturbating as she watches.
